The variety of birds at Jalbrook Cottages
With so many beautiful birds flying in to enjoy the ambience of Jalbrook gardens we have started to document some of our feathered friends. Water bowls and feeders scattered around the property encourage daily visits. Some of the New Holland Honeyeaters, Magpies, and Silver eyes line up daily for their share of the "plunge pool" and then move to the feeding tray.
The parrrots are around now for the fruit feeding and look spectacular in large numbers. Soon it will be time for the wild ducks to return for nesting on Balingup Brook and start to produce their baby ducklings. We also have Matilda our resident teal duck who flew in and liked the "5 star treatment" so much she stayed. Totally bonded with our beautiful alpacas she is now part of their herd. and stays very close to them. She visits the house and quacks morning and night for her food and then lines up with the alpacas for another handout. She has personality plus.
